Korean Mountain Ash (Sorbus alnifolia) is a great choice for bird lovers looking to add a new tree to their yards. It’s relatively fast-growing and offers gorgeous white flowers in spring followed by pinkish-red or scarlet fruits in the fall that birds absolutely love. (The leaves also change from a pretty green to pleasant shades of yellow-orange in autumn.) Provide plenty of space (these trees can reach heights of 40 – 50 ft. tall) and moist, well-drained soil to support quicker growth and longevity. Korean Mountain Ash is hardy in Zones 4 – 7.
