Franklin Tree Makes a Historic Addition to Any Garden.

Franklin Tree (Franklinia alatamaha) is named after Benjamin Franklin (it was cultivated by his friends and neighbors John and William Bartram) and offers gorgeous white flowers with yellow centers set against green leaves. These trees grow up to 20 feet with a single trunk but are smaller if multi-stemmed. Sadly, they are no longer found in the wild, but they can be cultivated in home gardens and are hardy in Zones 5 – 9.
